3 Insane (But True) Tips to Make Money Online
Picture it... You wake up in the morning and you check your email just to discover that you have got a Paypal deposit for $4,000 just waiting for you. You take a deep breath and realize that you made that money while you were sleeping... literally sleeping.
Is this just a pipe-dream?
Well, no... it is not a pipe-dream at all! As a matter of fact, I make money online as a blogger and Internet Marketer.
But there is just one problem...
There are so many ways to make money online that most of us get confused as to what route to take. It's like "All roads lead to Rome". But trying to use all at once will only lead you to confusion and waste of time and resources.
In today's post, we will break down 3 Insane (but true) tips to make money online. These tips are actionable and you can start implementing them today.
I have been online for almost a decade now. I have tried almost everything from Affiliate Marketing to product creation. Working and earning on the internet is one of the best decisions I have ever made.
Right now, I'm sitting home and as I type this post, I just got alert from Paypal: Ding! ding! XXX has sent you $29.70 USD, and this is becoming recurring.
So here are some tips I want to share with you to turn your online money making activities into a real income source.
1 - Focus, rinse and repeat
There are many ways to make money online. On my blog, I created a post on 15 ways bloggers make money and that's just for bloggers.
Newbies have a serious problem and that's trying to embrace all at once. I'm not against doing all of these things. I have a problem with those who are trying all at once.
There is need to be focused - Pick one thing, train yourself and be the master in it.
You can't be perfect but try to be excellent to deliver results. The only way to make money online is to help people solve their problems. You can't be a solution if you are not focused.

2 - Treat it as a real business
My first mistake online was that I never thought I was into real business. I gave it casual attention and that justified my drops of income in those genesis days.
But as soon as I realized Internet Marketing and Blogging can be real income earners, I set out for what was going to make me a professional.
Here are some points to help you treat online activities as a real business and triple your income:
Invest in Yourself
It baffles me sometimes when I see folks trying to teach people how to do something they aren't able to do for themselves. You can't drive traffic to your blog. Yet you are trying to teach people how to drive traffic.
You don't make $1,000/month but you brag around telling people you can teach them how to make $10k next month.
Start by training yourself to be good at what you do. Invest in courses to help you acquire the required knowledge and skills. Once you are an expert, people will listen to you and you'll be able to create your own marketplace.
Invest in Premium Tools
There are lots of free resources out there and there is nothing wrong with using them. But if you want your online activities to be a real business, invest in the professional tools you will need.
If you are running a successful offline business, you'll have to invest in rentals, equipment, electricity and phone bills, etc. Do the same thing for your online business and watch as your business booms.

Join Relevant Communities
If you want to succeed online, you can't do it as an Island. If you don't want to be that average guy, you should belong to some communities in your industry.
When you belong and become an active community member, you attract attention from other members. I do not know the online money making model you have chosen but trust me, you need to connect with other experts in that field.
Social media is a good start point to showcase your skills. It does not suffice to have a presence on any of the platforms. Join groups and project yourself as the expert people need.
Invest in courses to help you acquire the required knowledge and skills.
3 - Go offline
No, I'm not confused on this point. I know exactly what I'm saying.
I didn't know about this tactic until I started offline activities to promote my online business. When you are known as an expert in your community, you will not avoid being invited to speak at offline events.
In the month of April of this year, I was invited to be a speaker at a WordCamp event that saw over 200 WordPress enthusiasts from about 3 different countries. This brought a massive attention to my blogging profile and online business.
See... you don't need to be an expert to attend an offline event. Each time there is an industry event near you, bundle yourself to the site with your business cards. Move on to the speakers and organizers. Present yourself and offer to help.
That's magical my friend!
Each time you stand as a help, you will always attract attention. Let folks around know they can count on you for something. Before you know it, you will be invited to speak at the next event. And you know how that can spring off your business.
